Rules & Regulations
Eligibility and Registration Requirements
- IAPM Membership: It is mandatory for the presenter to obtain an IAPM membership. You must mention your IAPM Membership Number when submitting your abstract.
- Conference Registration: All presenters must register for the conference and be physically present during their designated poster or paper viewing period.
- Postgraduate Students: Must submit bonafide certificate from their HOD or institute head during registration.
- Post-PG:Candidates must provide a certificate from their HOD, confirming completion of their program or they may submit their provisional/degree certificate.
- Post graduates, who have completed MD within the span of 2 years can submit the abstract, they may submit their degree certificate
- Presenters may opt for either a poster or an oral paper presentation ; multiple submissions are not permitted.
- Originality:The study must not have been previously published or presented in any journal or conference.
- Media Restrictions: Hyperlinks, animated images, and videos are not permitted.
- Review Format: The committee reserves the right to accept or reject abstracts based on merit, as well as the right to change the presentation format (for example, moving an Oral paper to poster presentation).
General Structure and Formatting Guidelines for Abstract.
- Submit Oral Paper / Poster in PDF or MS Word format (Rename the file with your Registration Number)
- Preferred Structure: Title, Presenting Author (underlined), Co-author(s), Designation, Institute, Introduction, Material & Methods/Clinical Profile, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
- Word Limit: The abstract must be between 250 - 300 words only.
- Title Formatting:The title should be bold, Font type- Times New Roman, font size 14. The first letter of each word must be capitalized.
- Author Formatting: Author names should be bold, Font type- Times New Roman, font size - 14.
- Institution Formatting: The institution's name should be typed in Calibri, font size - 14.
- Abstract Body Formatting: Font type- Times New Roman, font size- 12, with double spacing.
Abstract Submission Mode & Deadlines:
- Submission Channel: All abstracts must be submitted online via the link provided in official brochure.
- Submission Method: Please submit your abstracts (for both papers and posters) through the dedicated tab using your login credentials.
- Final Deadline: The closing date for abstract submission is June 30th, 2026. Please note that the submission deadline will not be extended.
- Notification of Acceptance: Presenting authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of their abstracts by August 10th, 2026.
Abstract Format & Structure
- Original Research Structure: Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.
- Case Reports / Case Series Structure: Background, Case Details, Conclusion.
Presentation & Review
A] Rules for Presentation for ‘Dr Raichur Award Paper session’:
- Submission Limit: Every institute can submit only one paper in this category
- Selection Process: The Scrutiny Committee will select papers for the Dr. Raichur Award category from the submitted entries based on the content and the study's relevance to the subject. The presenter must be a member of AOP (MC- IAPM) which means a valid member of IAPM. The presenter will have to submit the entire paper as PDF or MS Word (rename the document with Registration no.) on or before the date of submission along with a certificate from HOD of the department on college / department letterhead stating the status (PG/Post PG) of the candidate and IAPM membership number.
- Award Capacity: A maximum of two to five papers will be selected for this category.
- Presentation Venue: Selected paper presentations will take place in the main auditorium.
- Presentation Timing: Each selected candidate will be allotted a total of 10 minutes (8 minutes for the presentation and 2 minutes for Q&A session).
- The winner will be awarded prize of Rs 5000/- and a certificate.
- Non-Selected Entries: Papers that are not selected for the Dr. Raichur Award category will be converted to routine oral presentation.
B] Rules for Presentation of Scientific Papers for ‘Best Oral paper presentation competition’:
- Submit paper in the following categories:
a) Anatomic pathology & histopathology
b) Cytopathology
c) Haematology, Clinical pathology, Immunology & Blood Banking. - Only PG students or up to 2 years Post MD candidates can present papers for the competition.
- Only members of AOP (MC- IAPM) (which means valid members of IAPM) can present paper. In case of emergency, if presenter is absent, the alternative presenter should also be an IAPM member.
- Every paper will have total 7 minutes; 6 minutes for presentation and 1 minute for questions- answers.
- There shall be first and second Prizes in all three categories and will be awarded with Certificates.
